The restoration process involves a careful assessment of the condition of the instrument and a months-long restoration, which includes painstaking and highly detailed work on all components of the instrument, including the pin block, soundboard, plate, rim and the entire action assembly. A final process of specialized paint, finish, restringing, regulation and voicing brings the finished product to life: a vintage era Steinway or Mason & Hamlin piano that looks, feels, sounds, and plays as if it just came off of the original factory floor.
